U Mad Bro?

Make us laugh and you just might score an SVTP sticker

By Steve Turner

Context is one of the most important aspects of communication. It’s funny how often things can be misconstrued with out the proper context. As they say, one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. That sort of circumstance brought us this week’s caption contest shot.

Caption Contest
Do you have a funny caption for Roy Hill and Jesse Kershaw chatting at the racetrack?

While your author was rebounding at the NMRA season opener in Bradenton, Florida, I grabbed a shot that you could easily take out of context. Out of the corner of my eye I caught Ford Racing’s Jesse Kershaw approaching drag-racing legend Roy Hill. He was simply saying ‘what’s up?’ to Roy and having a nice chat about Cobra Jet racing. Clearly these two are pals. Just look at that smile on Roy’s face. And, what could be more fun to talk about than Cobra Jets?

However, from a distance you might misconstrue Jesse’s body language differently. That’s what makes this shot caption-worthy. If Jesse were aggressively approaching Roy, what might he be saying in this shot? We bet it might be funny if you guys write it, so give it a try.

So, be sure you are a registered SVTP member and post your funny caption in the comments below by midnight on Thursday July 24. We’ll pick our favorite funny and let the winner know a week from today. The winner will join the cool kids’ club by winning an SVTPerformance.com sticker for his or her ride.
