Throughout the year there are nearly infinite events for Mustang fans to choose from. Some of those stand out above the crowd because they have really resonated with fans to a level that they gain notoriety on a national level. One such event is the annual AmericanMuscle.com Mustang Car Show.

More than just a automotive event, the AmericanMuscle.com car show has raised over $75,000 for charities thus far. Last year the show benefited cancer research via Alex’s Lemonade Stand, and this year’s beneficiary is the Special Olympics.

Well, it is back this year and it is taking place just days from now on Saturday August 16, 2014. The event has grown year after year to the point that it required moving to a larger new venue this year. As such, this year’s event will take place at Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton, Pennsylvania.

What’s great about the new location is that it will allow for even more activities, like the Roush Performance Burnout Competition, BBK Performance Revving Contest, and the Bama Performance Dyno Challenge. There will also be the traditional car show and awards, along with a DJ, and activities for kids. Even cooler, you can stick around after the show and drag race for a discounted rate.

To get an idea what this year’s show will be like, here’s a video recapping last year’s event:

Last year’s AmericanMuscle show attracted over 1,400 participants and over 5,000 spectators. That kind of interest in the event called for a larger venue in 2014. As such, the show will now be held at Maple Grove Raceway. The larger event opens the door to even more activities, including Roush Performance Burnout Competition, the BBK Performance Revving Contest, and the Bama Performance Dyno Challenge.

We certainly love shows that bring more to the table than just stationary cars, but the AmericanMuscle.com show brings something really special to its table—the show raises money for charity. Preceeding shows raised over $75,000 for various charities, and this year’s designated charity is the Special Olympics. So for that reason alone, you should head out to Pennsylvania and check out the show.

And, who knows, if you do make the trip, you might just drive home in a really special Mustang. If you entered to win the Modern Muscle Design Project Mustang Giveaway then you just might be the lucky winner that takes home the car from the big show.

Now if you are used to shopping at AmericanMuscle.com, you could probably use a shopping cart like the Shopper Chopper! In fact, if you win some of the $20,000 in prizes given away at the show, you might need this cart to drag it all home.

Speaking of Mr. Foose, Chip will be on hand at the show to not just select his namesake award, but to meet fans and sign autographs as well.

We mentioned there would be prizes, and the grand prize of the day is the culmination of Modular Mustang Development’s long-running online contest. The contest ended this past Monday, August 4, and the winner will already be chosen by the time the show takes place on August 16, 2014.
