Would you like to drive your high-performance Ford in a series of driving events at a historic racing facility? Well, if you live near Sebring, Florida, or are willing to make the road trip down, you can run your car in a road rally, through an autocross, in a speed stop challenge, and on a road course over the course of two days at this Ultimate Street Car Association qualifying event at Sebring International Raceway.
“Our compact, two-day driving events are specifically geared toward street cars and the normal people like you and I who drive them,†Brandyn Lynch of Kahn Media told us. “We are looking for vehicles and drivers of all pedigrees to come out and push their rides to the absolute limit in a safe, organized, and fun environment. If it can be driven on the street, it’s more than welcome at the USCA Sebring event.â€
Held from September 20-21, this event is a qualifying event for the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational held after the SEMA Show in Las Vegas, Nevada, this November. It will also be filmed for Optima’s Search for the Ultimate Street Car series on MavTV, so you might get your 15 seconds of fame and earn a trip to Sin City all while having the time of your life.
Here’s a peek at what the show looks like:
USCA promises more seat time than any other driving event. First they will they judge the design and engineering of your ride, then you will work your way up to the full road course runs by first participating in a road rally, an autocross, and a speed-stop challenge. Then you get to run wide open on the historic Sebring course.
If this sounds like fun to you, you can register for $500 ($475 for USCA members), but there are also group discounts available if you want to bring along some of your fellow SVTPers.
