Yes, the latest Mustang has its fans and its detractors when it comes to the car’s styling. Even those that love the S550 seem to have one issue with the car. That issue is under the hood, and it has nothing to do with the controversial Active Sound Generator on the EcoBoost car. No, that objectionable item is the humble coolant overflow tank.

If you plan to display your 2015 Mustang like this, you might want to replace that bulbous factory coolant overflow tank with this aluminum unit from MMR.

Built from 6061 aluminum, the MMR tank is anodized black and designed to clear both stock and aftermarket air intakes.

Sure, some might debate the looks of the new engine cover. However, you’ll be hard-pressed to find someone who loves the looks of that coolant overflow tank.

Fortunately, we have the aftermarket to fix these little issues, which is part of the fun anyway.

To the rescue with a replacement coolant overflow tank is Modular Motorsports Racing. Its anodized black aluminum tank (PN 633250; $199.99) is designed as a five-minute bolt-on. The MMR tank accepts all the stock hoses and is designed to clear stock and aftermarket air intake systems.
