If you are into carving corners in a Mustang, you know about Maximum Motorsports. The company started out transforming Fox Mustangs into competent handlers and has continued offering suspension improvements for every Mustang since. As the exclusive supplier of JRi Shocks to the Mustang market, Maximum worked with the company to create new street and race damper packages for 2005-2014 Mustangs (PN JRiMM-1; $4,987.35).

While this system is designed for 2005-2014 Mustangs, Maximum is working on kits for Fox, SN-95, and S550 chassis.

According to Maximum these systems are “Ideal for the road course and street driving, JRi dampers offer a wide selection of separate adjustments for compression and rebound valving. Ride-height adjustment is simplified by threaded-steel strut bodies in front and an adjustable rear spring perch.”

For street cars these monotube dampers are available with urethane bushings, while racier applications call for the spherical bearing. You can choose between front spring rates from 350 to 700 in-lb and rear rates from 325 to 750 in-lb. And, with Maximum’s special strut-to-spindle mounts, you get an even wider range of camber adjustment to dial in your Mustang’s handling.
