If you are trying to stay emissions compliant, there isn’t much exhaust work you can do, outside of installing a freer flowing set of mufflers. Unless, of course, you bolt on a set of Hedman Hedders’ new street-legal short-tube headers.

If you want improved performance, but you want to keep everything on the up and up with the emissions police, Hedman Hedders’ new short-tube headers are for you.

“Thanks to ever-increasing emissions regulations, Mustang owners have had very few options to let their Coyote motors breathe without running afoul of Johnny Law,” says Hedman. “Now with the introduction of Hedman Hedders’ 50-state-legal headers for 2011-2014 S197 5.0 Mustang, enthusiasts have the tools they need to improve their cars exhaust flow, and allow the stock engine and all its bolt-on performance parts to work at peak efficiency.”

Hewn from T-304, 16-gauge stainless steel, these short-tube headers don’t give up any durability, and they feature robust 3/8-inch flanges. They improve flow 1 ¾-inch primary tubes. The standard headers (PN 82726) are offered with Hedman’s HTC ceramic coating, which adds durability and keeps more heat in the exhaust and out of the engine compartment. They can also be optioned with Black Maxx ceramic coating.

Designed to fit the Coyote 5.0-liter in 2011 to 2014 Mustang GTs these Hedman short-tube headers (PN 82726) are built from T-304 stainless steel and wear CARB EO #D-167-34.
