Revered by most and hated by some, there is no doubt that the 2015 Mustang attracts a lot of attention. From its forward-leaning styling to its unquestionable performance, the car deserves that attention. However, when you pop the hood there is one facet that seems universally derided—the coolant reservoir.

Not only does its tank look better than the stocker, ProCharger says its offset installation allows more room for larger-than-stock cold-air induction tubes.

Some people call it the “bubble,” others call it the “grenade.” Most just call it ugly. Rather than sitting around and bullying that stock part, the best option is to replace the factory coolant tank.

And, thanks to the fine folks at ProCharger, you can do just that. The company lifted a part from its S550 supercharger kits that will spiff up the engine compartment of any S550.

Available for any 2015 Mustangs—EcoBoost, GT, or V-6—the ProCharger coolant tank (PN 3FWCS-002; $189) is designed to directly replace the stock tank and utilize the factory coolant lines. It is built from aluminum and powdercoated black for a durable finish. The kit even includes a factory radiator cap, so it’s ready to install.

The stock coolant tank definitely sticks out like a sore thumb in the S550 engine compartment. If you want to replace it, ProCharger has a new option.
