The Road Trip tests the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost in the snow

By Steve Turner

In much of the USA, particularly the Northeast, the weather is pretty brutal right now. However, for Canadians this kind of weather is run of the mill. As such, Great White North radio show, The Road Trip, which airs on AM 680 CJOB, decided to see how the EcoBoost Mustang would handle in the powdery white stuff.

How does the EcoBoost Mustang take to the snow with winter tires? The Road Trip slides around in the S550 to find out.

Hosts Michael Clark and Brian Park installed a set of Nokian Hakkapelliita 8 studded winter tires on the latest Mustang and headed out into the Winnepeg snow to try the car’s various driving modes.

It’s certainly fun to watch their antics from a sunnier locale, but if you live where it snows, their findings might be instructive for you. Check out the video here:

It seems like Ford’s modern traction control does a pretty solid job of keeping the Mustang under control in the snow, given proper tires. If you were to drive your new Mustang in these conditions, what traction control setting would you select?
