News: Shelby GT350 In Production?

Ready, Set, Go

The Shelby GT350 was spotted rolling down the assembly line

Our friends at Lethal Performance spotted a Shelby GT350 running down the assembly line at the Flat Rock Assembly Plant. Could that mean that the Hummingbird is getting ready to fly into dealerships?

Lethal also supplied us with our first detailed look at the Shelby's big Brembo brakes. This should get the road racers drooling.

Either way, it’s always fun to get a look at the cars before we can see them in person. It isn’t clear whether this is a standard GT350 or the lighter GT350R, but it definitely looks great in red. They even got a shot of the car’s Brembo brakes, which looks awesome as well.

It’s amazing to sit back and think that Ford just launched the 2015 Mustang late last year and it is already gearing up with a Ford Performance variant. We definitely live in interesting times.

It seems the Shelby GT350 is rolling down the assembly line at Flat Rock. Could we see them on the streets soon?

With official power figures still two to three months out, these are likely pre-production units.

A close-up look at the dash plaque shows this is an early production model.

A close look at the base GT350 wheels shows they will be a popular upgrade for non-GT350s.
