Do you own a 2003-2004 Mustang Cobra? Are you jealous of all the power-adder love the newer Mustangs are receiving? Well, you can stop being envious, because VMP Tuning has just released a Gen2 version of its popular Terminator TVS supercharger.

You can choose the inlet elbow you want to work with your preferred throttle body, including VMP’s GT500-style mechanical monoblade. The Gen2 inlet elbows feature an integral idle air control, so you no longer need an external IAC block.

VMP’s new supercharger delivers a number of features that Cobra owners have requested.

“Answering to the feedback from Cobra faithful, VMP has provided for EGR to be used for the first time. The supercharger will be shipped with an EGR blockoff plate, with an optional contoured EGR spacer available in order to run the valve,” says the company. “The VMP Cobra Gen2 features improved cooling by forcing re-circulated air from the bypass valve to run through the intercooler, which is how the Ford GT, Shelby GT500, and Roush blowers are set up.”

The Gen2 (PN COBRATVS; $3,399) comes with all the necessary hardware for installation and allows you to select an inlet elbow and throttle body combination to meet your performance needs.

This unit will make its competition debut under the hood of Rick Kaknes Cobra in the GT500 vs. Terminator Shootout at this weekend’s NMRA race in Bradenton, Florida, so we expect to learn more about its capabilities in the near future.

If you want maximum power from your Gen2 TVS, you'll want to opt for VMP's GT500-style monoblade throttle body.

Just as it is on the TVS supercharger run on the Shelby GT500, the EGR on the VMP Cobra Gen2 TVS is equipped with improved cooling via air re-circulated from the bypass valve that travels through the intercooler.
