After months of testing and development, BMR Suspension is rolling out its lineup of S550 suspension upgrades. During its testing, the company performed extensive examination of the car’s independent rear suspension, and that study revealed lots of movement and deflection, which is less than desirable.

BMR Suspension’s differential bushings for 2015-and-newer Mustangs are said to eliminate most differential movement, reduce wheelhop, and increase handling stability.

To combat the movement of the factory Super 8.8, the company developed a set of replacement polyurethane bushings to that better hold the differential in place.

“Designed from 95-dutometer polyurethane, BMR’s differential bushings deflect far less than soft rubber, and drastically decreases differential movement and pinion rise when compared to the factory bushings,” says the company. “BMR Polyurethane Differential Bushings offer huge reductions in deflection, without excessive increases in NVH. BMR designed the BK049 for street performance, drag race, and handling applications, making them the perfect wheelhop solution for any performance-based S550 Mustang.”

You simply cut out the factory bushings and press in the new poly bushings (PN BK049; $79.95) from BMR. The install time is said to be three to four hours. To see how the bushings and some of the other BMR upgrades affect the rear suspension in the latest Mustang, check out this video…
