Rule the golf course, neighborhood, or racetrack with an S550 golf cart

If you really love the 2015 Mustang, you might want to rock S550 style in every aspect of your life, and starting in June you can roll around in an electric version all your own. That’s right, the crew at Caddyshack Golf Cars in Palm Desert, California, are about to release a 2015 Mustang golf cart officially licensed by Ford.

Just like a real 2015 Mustang, this golf cart features working headlights, taillights, brake lights, turn signals, emergency flashers, and horn. However, unlike a real Mustang, this one features a front trunk for storage. The carbon-fiber-style grille wears the signature Pony emblem.

You might be familiar with some of those other Ford licensed carts, which range in price from $15,000-$20,000. The pricing for the 2015 Mustang version has not been officially announced, but they will be available in June, which will give you the rest of the summer to hit the links in style.

“Caddyshack Golf Cars, the leading manufacturer of officially-licensed gas and electric custom golf cars, was founded with the vision of providing consumers with proprietary, high quality American made golf carts and neighborhood electric vehicles,” says the company. “These vehicles feature some of the most iconic brands in motoring which include the 2015 Ford Mustang, Ford Shelby GT500, Ford 50th Year Mustang, Ford F-150 SVT Raptor, Ford Shelby GT500 Super Snake and Shelby Cobra. As the only officially licensed golf cars of the Ford Motor Company, Caddyshack’s attention to detail and overall quality is beyond comparison.”

This S550 cart is motivated by a 4.4-horsepower three-phase AC Induction motor controlled by a 230-amp solid state speed controller and drawing from four, 12-volt deep cycle batteries. It sends power through a reverse-helical-geared transaxle with a 16.99:1 ratio. With this powertrain combo, it will max out at 19.5 mph.

The 2015 cart packs performance specs like 4.4 horsepower and a top speed of over 19 miles per hour. It is built on an epoxy-coated steel frame and wears a front suspension with A-arm coil springs over hydraulic shocks and a rear suspension with mono-leaf springs and hydraulic shock absorbers.

We can’t wait to see if there will be a new Shelby GT350 version, but if you were looking for another Mustang for your driveway, the Caddyshack is taking orders over at its website right now.

You can option this cart with a two-person, rear-facing fold-down seat kit and a golf bag attachment if you so desire.
