Last week we brought you the news that Shelby American had revived the Super Snake for 2015 and based in on the latest Mustang GT. This limited edition, post-title conversion is available with over 750 horsepower. And, because it is the first Super Snake based on the Mustang GT, it is also the first such vehicle made available with an automatic transmission.

While the Ford Performance TVS supercharger is the standard configuration on the new Super Snake, you can opt to push your special Shelby to 750 horsepower with the addition of a Kenne Bell or Whipple supercharger.

“The latest evolution of the Shelby Super Snake is based on developing the most road-and track-capable Mustang we’ve ever built, from the suspension to the bodywork and choice in high performance superchargers,” Shelby American Vice President of Operations, Akos J. Feher, said when the car was revealed. “We saw this as a great opportunity to create the type of car that appeals to both the traditional Shelby Super Snake owner, as well as to the driver who demands world-class handling with stellar braking and higher horsepower capabilities. It is a refined car with a premium, quality feel. After extensive testing and development on the racetrack and street, we feel that this is our best supercharged performing and sounding, muscle car to date.”

Shelby American will build 300 2015 Super Snakes and the conversions start at $49,995 in addition to the price of your 2015 Mustang GT. To see what you get with the Super Snake package, Shelby has released a new video with details about the car.

“Join us for a quick walk-around the new 750-plus-horsepower 2015 Shelby Super Snake and let us know what you think,” says the video description.
