For the past several years, the Specialty Equipment Market Association has honored the most popular vehicles on the show floor in four categories: Hottest Car, Hottest Truck, Hottest 4×4, and Hottest Sport Compact. Last year the 2015 Mustang was the only Ford to win its category, but at this year’s show Ford just missed a clean sweep, taking home three of the four categories at The SEMA Show.

The Ford Mustang made it two in row this year, following up its 2014 honors with another trophy for the case.

Director of Ford Performance, Dave Pericak was on hand to accept the three trophies at the annual awards breakfast.

“Winning SEMA’s hottest vehicle awards for Mustang, Focus and F-Series is a great affirmation of the popularity of Ford vehicles with this trendsetting part of the market,” he said. “We’re proud the aftermarket has embraced these three vehicles with as much enthusiasm as our customers invest to personalize their Mustang, Focus and F-Series.”

While the trophies are nice, what’s great for all Ford fans is that more manufacturers displaying Ford vehicles on the show floor means there will be even more aftermarket products for us to enjoy in the future.

The Focus took home the Hottest Sport Compact hardware for the first time at this year’s show.

While the F-150 has won the award in the past, this year marks its return as the Hottest Truck at The SEMA Show.
