As we take the time to give thanks today, something that all fans of Ford performance can be thankful for are the Exhaust Modes on the new Shelby GT350. With the push of a button you can enhance the auditory personality of the Flat-Plane-Crank 5.2-liter engine’s exhaust note by changing the car’s Track Apps settings.

By just toggling through some menus on the gauge-cluster display and adjusting the settings, you can change the exhaust sound of the new Shelby GT350. LateModel Restoration shows us how to do it and what the car sounds like in each mode in the first video on its new project car.

Even if you aren’t lucky enough to own one of these cars, our friends at Late Model Restoration recently acquired a new Shelby GT350 project vehicle, and they have been busy documenting the car for the company’s popular YouTube channel (including testing the car on its in-house Dynojet). The first video the company released shows how to adjust these settings and how the car sounds in both modes…

“I think it’s safe to say the 2016 Mustang Shelby GT350 is baddest Mustang ever made,” says the video description. “Sporting the almighty 5.2-liter, a.k.a. Voodoo engine, this monster features 526 horsepower and 424 lb-ft of torque at the flywheel. Its raspy howl makes it unique to any other Mustang ever produced.”

Now that Shelby GT350s are getting into the hands of the aftermarket and modding enthusiasts across the country, we can’t wait to see how these cars respond to modification. For now, however, we’ll just appreciate how good they can sound stock.
