The latest Mustangs are filled with a host of suspension improvements from the highly touted independent rear suspension to the under-appreciated double-ball-joint front suspension. However, as great as the improvements are there’s still that little issue of the ride height. Some will install lowering springs for the handling improvement, but for most it is an aesthetic improvement.

Steeda S550 Mustang Rear Adjustable Camber Arms (PN 555-4122; $329.95) allows owners of lowered 2015+ Mustangs an on-car camber adjustment of -5 degrees to positive 2 degrees to set the suspension geometry to its ideal settings.

Whatever your reasoning for lowering your 2015+ Mustang, the results are not just better looks, but a change in the factory suspension geometry, which may need correcting. In order to restore the factory alignment after you drop your car. However, adjustment is only part of what the new Steeda S550 Mustang Rear Adjustable Camber Arms (PN 555-4122; $329.95) offer. They are also built for the rigors of racing and performance driving.

“An enormous amount of time was spent running through strength simulations of this part. With the large bend needing to clear the chassis, the adjustment sleeve is loaded in a slight bending mode—if not addressed properly this will lead to premature fatigue failure of the system. Our parts are made of heat-treated and nickel-plated 4140 steel for incredible strength and corrosion resistance,” says Steeda’s David Jacobs. “Only the highest quality spherical bearings are used, which includes a nylon-coated bearing face to prevent dirt from penetrating into the bearing and ensuring that these rod ends will never need to be replaced. Bend angles, material size and selection, adjustment methods are all engineered to handle the extreme conditions these links are exposed to.”

The durability of this part is key, but it’s the adjustability that your lowered S550 needs, and the Steeda arms offer adjustment from -5 degrees to positive 2 degrees. With that kind of range, you can dial in the suspension for improved grip and even tire wear.

“With our setup you won’t lose any camber during cornering—you will maintain ideal camber gain throughout the corner. Gain grip, have a more predictable handling experience, and the rear of the vehicle will react to inputs more quickly,” David said. “This leaves the handling feeling more direct and positive while also making the car much more capable on the track! Steeda also provides these rod ends with specific preloads imparted on the bearing—this ensures the lowest amount of bind on the ball as possible and also ensures that there will never be any slop in your rod end.”

Installing the arms is said to take only 45 minutes, and they even weigh 10 percent less than the stockers.
