Ford Motor Company is set to auction a 2016 Ford Focus RS for charity at the 45th Anniversary Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale Auction in Scottsdale, Arizona, this weekend, so you can not only score Ford Performance’s hottest hatch, but help a worthy charity in the process. All the monies generated from the sale of this Focus RS will benefit JDRF, which funds Type 1 Diabetes research in over 17 countries.

“Ford has been a longtime supporter of JDRF,” said Henry Ford III, global marketing manager, Ford Performance. “We are honored to continue that support with the auction of this custom Focus RS. Ford fans have anticipated the arrival of the Focus RS to the United States for years. This is the opportunity for one lucky person to get a very special RS while supporting a great cause.”

The Hoonigan himself, Ken Block, will be on stage with key members of the Focus RS team to hype the sale.

While we don’t know just yet what will make this custom version so special, the latest Focus RS is special in its own right. Packing 350 horsepower, all-wheel drive and a variety of drive modes (including the vaunted Drift Mode), this hot hatch will be available in North America for the first time this spring.

“Ford and Barrett-Jackson have worked together to raise millions of dollars to benefit local and national charities for many years,” said Craig Jackson, chairman and CEO, Barrett-Jackson Auctions. “The sale of the highly anticipated Focus RS promises to be a highlight of the auction and will help raise much-needed funding for JDRF.”

Listed under lot #3009, the Focus RS will be auctioned at about 7:30 p.m. on Saturday January 30 (that’s tomorrow) and you can watch the proceedings live on the Velocity channel. To help generated interest and drive up those bids, Hoonigan and Ford rally driver Ken Block will be on stage during the auction with several of the key Ford Performance team members that helped created this impressive car.

UPDATE: The 2016 Focus RS raised a whopping $550,000 for JDRF at the auction.

If you weren’t convinced the Focus RS was cool, you can hear Ken Block detail its prowess right here…
