The Discovery Channel’s Street Outlaws has become a pop culture phenomenon amongst car enthusiasts. Recently a Mustang racer, Chris “BoostedGT” Hamilton has risen to the number-five position on the show’s vaunted 405 list. This year, Chris will add a little extra excitement to the NMRA race of the year—the World Finals in Bowling Green, Kentucky—by appearing at the event and racing in the sanction’s first-ever Grudge Night.

“The NMRA race at Beech Bend Raceway is the biggest Mustang race of the year and I look forward to seeing all the street outlaws out there,” Chris said. “I’m also excited to run my Mustang in the grudge race because we aren’t towing up to Kentucky to sit in the pits.”

So if you want to run against his Team Z-prepped, turbocharged 2003 Mustang at the event, you better get yourself out to Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on October 3. The Grudge Night will take place after the traditional racing ends, with time trials and 5:30 p.m. and grudge racing starting at 7:00 p.m.

“All grudge races feature no time, no scoreboards and no time slips… only the win light at the end of the track will determine the winner of each heads-up race,” says the NMRA. “Every competition will be contested using the .400 Pro Tree with red light starts counting as an immediate and official disqualification. All other grudge night rules apply such as the ‘First or Worst’ rule.”

Some grudge races are already set, but the event format will also allow competitors to set up races that night. SVTP will be on the property covering the event, so we hope to see you out there.
