Comparing the sound of the Kooks and stock EcoBoost exhaust systems

If you are into EcoBoost Mustangs and you’ve been following the progress of our own Project Samhain, you know the Competition Orange 2015 Mustang picked up some impressive gains with the addition of an Airaid cold-air intake, a Kooks exhaust system, and Livernois Motorsports tuning. Our friends at Pro Dyno helped us with the installation and dyno testing of the system. When we were finished there, we had the opportunity to compare the sound of the Kooks exhaust with that of the stock system.
Obviously, aside from the power gains, one of the key considerations before making an exhaust purchase is how the system sounds. Once you’ve added an exhaust, it’s difficult to remember what the stock system sounded like. So, we put together a video comparison of the Kooks Off-Road Turbo-Back system on our project and the stock system on MGW Shifters’ EcoBoost Mustang. We think you will agree the Kooks system delivers an aggressive performance sound that the stock EcoBoost Mustang exhaust lacks, and it definitely improves the performance as well.
